In this case, try to be respectful and put the dress on to see what it looks like. If it’s completely hideous, then try to be reasonable and point out that it’s not something you feel comfortable in. Compromise is the best solution when it comes to finding your bridesmaid dress. If you’re being given freedom of choice, then you’ll probably need to consult the other bridesmaids (unless you’re the only one or are wearing different dresses).
